  1. Im just going to disown you today. That way if you dont make it tomorrow I can be the hero who takes you back in your shameful state. That will be easier. That catholic guilt you know. Disowning a person when they are down just isn't done. You only wore the new shoes once and for a very long run so maybe its just something that showed up later. Now that they're broken in probably wont happen again. You just have to be patient while it heals. Damn old bodies do that slower than when they were younger.

  2. As my birth father once said to me, at age 81, "only his body has aged, his mind is still intact. Problem now is the body just can't keep up". When the mind forgets what the feet are suppose to be doing, then you're in trouble.

Weather woes does not help the psyche. Being a control freak, does not either. Take a breath and smell the roses, if there are any. Better days ahead.

  3. I think a possible solution would be to adjust your focus a bit. You have spoken before about how this whole thing is a bit of a selfish endeavor. Last time around, you managed all these things while still working once in a while. If you try putting a little focus on a few unselfish things, you will see your little challenges in a better perspective. Besides that, your catholic guilt will be soothed as well! On a little side note, I am pretty sure that is NOT Cory who is posting using her name, as she has never before missed an opportunity to let you know when you were whining like you did in this post.
